ABOUT MAINTEX

A humble beginning

Ralph Silverman studied chemistry at Indiana University on the G.I. Bill after serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator during World War II. In 1960, Ralph and his wife Marilyn moved their young family to California to start a new business.

Maintex began as a manufacturer of floor wax and other cleaning chemicals. In the 1970s, second-generation Stu and Linda Silverman joined the business and accelerated its growth. In 2017, third-generation Danny Silverman joined and is now the COO.

From humble origins, Maintex has become the largest manufacturer-distributor of cleaning products in the Western United States.
